Angel Tree of Collierville

In August of 2019 the Kiwanis Club closed their Collierville chapter and blessed our organization with the opportunity to transition and take over their beloved Angel Tree program.  Since then, we have collaborated together with the community, schools and businesses to ensure the program fulfills their vision and continues to provide our local children in need with the Christmas they deserve.  In 2022 the JA Angel Tree program has supplied gifts for over 240 children (ages 0-12) and in 2023 the program has expanded with an anticipated 316 children (ages 0-14)! Many of these families have what we consider to be ‘basics’ on their children’s wish list like diapers, clothing, coats, and shoes.  This program is truly a community effort of volunteers collecting toys, delivering donations to a collection site, wrapping, labeling and organizing to ensure each and every child gets above and beyond their intended items.  A special thank you goes out to the ladies of Kiwanis International that still mentor us in countless hours of work, phone calls, tears, hugs and love.  You have opened our eyes to this amazing program.  Not only does it help families in need, but it also gives everyone in the community a chance to give back and there is no better feeling during the holidays than knowing that you have helped bring the magic of Christmas to a child.
